Are you just getting started? The Pond offers year-round I.S.I. (Ice Skating Institute) "We Skate Recreational Ice Skating Classes". Basic Skills Program group classes for all ages and abilities.
The Pond Ice Arena experienced Learn to Skate coaches will teach you the basics in a safe and fun environment, and give you a solid foundation to build on if you decide to get more serious about the sport or just want to learn some skating skills to enjoy our
recreational public skates.
Every weekly half-hour group lesson includes one half-hour of practice following class. Eight week group classes cost $96 (when registering by the deadline date or rate is $116) and rental skates are available for $3.
Every student gets a $2 off discount card good for public sessions (excluding COSMIC Skate), which is valid for the series they are enrolled in.
Parents can skate on the practice session of the ice from 12:30-1:00pm or 7:00-7:30pm for an additional $20
Learn to Skate customers can purchase a skate rental punch card, 10 skate rentals for $20. That's a $10 savings
Are you looking to get your pre-schooler on skates? It's as easy as joining our "Beginner and Tot Classes.

Learn to Skate Classes
Sundays from 12:00-12:30 p.m. with practice ice from 12:30-1:00 p.m.
Mondays from 6:30-7:00 p.m. with practice ice from 7:00-7:30 p.m.
ISI Tot 1 -4
Age: 3-6
Tot classes teach the very basics of skating while having fun and playing games. Students earn patches upon completion of each level. Please invite friends and family to attend the eighth week of class, as we have a surprise planned!
ISI Pre-Alpha–Delta Preparation Classes
(prerequisite: Tot 4 or age 6)
Age: 6-adult
These classes are designed to teach the skills required for the test classes. Students receive certificates upon completion of each preparation level. Please invite friends and family to attend the eighth week of class, as we have a surprise planned!
ISI Pre-Alpha–Delta Test Classes
(prerequisite: the corresponding prep class level)
Age: 3-adult
Upon completion of the test class, skaters will receive a patch and have their tests registered with ISI. Additionally, skaters will be able to take part in ISI events at the level they have completed. Please invite friends and family to attend the eighth week of class, as we have a surprise planned!
Parents: Please note that levels with fewer than three skaters may be combined with another level. Additionally, any class having fewer than three skaters that cannot be combined may be either rescheduled or canceled. Requests for specific teachers will be taken into consideration, but the Pond may have times when we cannot accommodate such requests.
Specialty Classes
ISI Freestyle Compulsories
(prerequisite: Delta test or concurrent enrollment in Delta)
Learn all of the elements necessary to pass the compulsory portion of ISI freestyle levels.
Classes offered:
Sundays 12:00-12:30 p.m. with practice ice from 12:30-1:00 p.m.
Mondays 6:30-7:00 p.m. with practice ice from 7:00-7:30 p.m.
ISI Freestyle Test Class
(prerequisite: compulsories class or concurrent enrollment in compulsories class)
Learn a program required to take an ISI freestyle class. Upon completion of this class, skaters receive a badge, and their tests will be registered with ISI. Skaters should bring a blank CD if they would like to keep the music to practice.

Taste of Teams:
Age: 3 – Adult
All skaters are encouraged to join this exciting new class!
This class is designed to demonstrate the many different teams that ISI has to offer.
Team types we will be covering throughout the series include Production, Ensemble, Team Compulsories, Freestyle Compulsories, Couples Spotlight, Jump and Spin, and Synchronized Formation/Skating teams. Please be aware that we may not be able to cover every team during each series, but we will certainly try!
Class offered:
Mondays 7:00-7:30 p.m.
Coffee with Class:
Age: adults only
Adult skaters of all levels are welcome!
Come join Heather on Wednesday mornings for a cup o’ joe, some good conversation, and a skating lesson too! Skaters can learn everything from the Learn to Skate curriculum to maybe even a little Dutch waltz. We’ll decide what we want to do when you get here!
